The Second Virago Book of Fairy Tales - Thryft

Enchanting myths; Carter's feminist folklore collection.

Angela Carter has a gift for reinvigorating ancient tales with contemporary relevance, and if you're the sort who finds wisdom in the fantastical, this collection will resonate with you. It's not just about the nostalgia of fairy tales; it's a rediscovery of them through a lens that's both discerning and defiantly feminist. Carter's retelling honors the tradition of storytelling while challenging the gender norms embedded in these classic narratives.

Note: While we do our best to ensure the accuracy of cover images, ISBNs may at times be reused for different editions of the same title which may hence appear as a different cover.
