For Ryland Peters and Small he has photographed a number of internationally successful books, including Cool Cocktails, Cool Smoothies, Fingerfood, and New Vegetarian Entertaining.Kimiko Barber learned to cook from her three Japanese grandmothers - one in the cosmopolitan town of Kobe, another in the beautiful old capital of Kyoto, and a third in a rustic country kitchen in Sikoku Island. Kim went to school in England, and started her working life as a commodity trader in the City of London, then later joined a merchant bank, in Tokyo during the booming 1980s, she was a financial journalist for London's Daily Telegraph. Now, Kim teaches Asian cooking at Books for Cooks, the internationally famous bookshop and cooking school in London's Notting Hill.
