Inspired by John Bunyan's "The Pilgrim's Progress," this tale follows the journey of three children, Peter, Anna, and Patience, as they leave the City of Turmoil to reach the Land of Far-Beyond. Along the way, they encounter various allegorical characters and challenges, including the Demons of Boredom, Laziness, and Sloth, as well as the giant Cruelty and his page-boy, Fright. The story is a moral and adventurous journey, encouraging readers to reflect on virtues and vices through the children's experiences.
