Released internationally on 26 September 1995, AC/DC's 13th studio album Ballbreaker marked a rejuvenation for the band after a commercially redundant and creatively fallow era in the mid-to-late 1980s. It was their first collection of new songs since 1990’s The Razor’s Edge and signaled the return of drummer Phil Rudd, who had been absent since 1983’s Flick of the Wrist. The Ballbreaker World Tour began on 12 January 1996 in Greensboro, North Carolina, and spanned five legs over 11 months, ending on 30 November 1996 in Christchurch, New Zealand. On 24 August, AC/DC performed at New Orleans’ Lakefront Arena, a show ultimately voted among the best of the tour. Recorded for FM radio broadcast across the US, this two‑part vinyl set features the entire performance for the first time on vinyl.
