Description

The first edition of “Renaissance and Reformation” ran into over 50,000 copies, and has become a standard work for students in universities and sixth forms. It has now been revised and enlarged. More detailed treatment is given of the Ottoman Empire, and a new chapter called Russia and Eastern Europe describes the decline of Poland and the rising importance of Russia in the century which elapsed from 1462 to the death of Ivan IV in 1584.

Binding of book is intact. Slight wear and tear on covers. Top and bottom edges of spine are slightly creased and stained. Otherwise wrapped in plastic jacket and in good condition. Some tanning and shelfwear around edges of book. Front flap of dust jacket torn off. Marks and residue left behind by tape. Annotations on endpapers, also a bookstore stamp on bottom right, of first page. Some foxing, underlining and a few annotations in pages, otherwise in good condition.
