My Last Breath

Luis Buñuel, the great director of masterpieces such as “Belle de jour”, “The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie” and “That Obscure Object of Desire”, died aged eighty-two in July 1982, not long after “My Last Breath” was completed. This delightful autobiography (chosen by J. G. Ballard and by Salman Rushdie as one of the most enjoyable books of 1984) tells the story of a remarkable life.
