The monthly volumes of this series are committed to analyzing - on the basis of complete, updated and meticulous information - individualities, complexes and moments of artistic civilisation, in the determinable totality of the works and under the dual aspect: aesthetic and historical-critical. Each of them is, therefore, entrusted to the expertise of two authors: a high international cultural personality, for an interpretative presentation, reflecting today's sensitivity and taste, and a well-known scholar, specialized in the investigation of the theme of each monograph, for the critical framework and the historical and philological apparatus.
