Disintegration is the eighth studio album by The Cure, originally released in 1989, and marked a peak in their somber, orchestral gothic rock sound. The record features enduring tracks such as Pictures of You, Lovesong, Fascination Street and Lullaby, capturing a mood of intimate melancholy that helped the Cure achieve their commercial breakthrough. This 2010 Rhino / Elektra reissue is a remastered edition of the original album.
