This record features Count Basie's "Class of '54," showcasing two distinct recordings. The first side includes tracks A1 to A6, performed by a nonet from the Basie band, recorded in Boston, Massachusetts, on September 7, 1954, under the direction of George Wein. The second side presents a complete big band performance, with tracks B1 to B9 recorded at the American Legion Park in Ephrata, Pennsylvania, on September 2, 1954.
