Peter Doherty & The Puta Madres' self-titled debut captures an intimate, live-in-the-studio performance recorded over four days at a family home overlooking Étretat in Normandy during the summer of 2018. Released on April 26, 2019 by Strap Originals, the album was engineered by Dan Cox, produced by Jai Stanley, and mixed at Urchin Studios in London. The collection blends reflective songwriting with folk and rock textures and includes tracks such as All At Sea, Who's Been Having You Over, Paradise Is Under Your Nose, Narcissistic Teen Makes First XI, and Shoreleave. The album showcases Doherty's distinctive voice and storytelling through intimate ballads and spare arrangements.
