Mob Rules, Black Sabbath's tenth studio album, was originally released in 1981 and features Ronnie James Dio on vocals with Vinny Appice making his debut behind the drum kit. This 2021 Deluxe Edition is a 2LP reissue from Rhino that remasters the original performances and adds bonus material, including The Mob Rules Heavy Metal Soundtrack Version, a newly mixed version of the title track, plus live performances from the Hammersmith Odeon in late 1981 and early 1982 and a Portland, Oregon concert from 1982. The pairing of thunderous riffs with Dio’s soaring delivery captures the distinctive sound of the Dio era. This deluxe edition deepens the catalog with rare material, making it a must-have for fans of Black Sabbath’s early 80s period.
