Two-piece outer box with a central zigzag join. Sturdy construction with a high-gloss finish and a matte black interior. Outer cover contains no barcode and text appears on only one spine. Includes picture labels. The blue vinyl is translucent and may display an iridescence. The record is housed in a polylined, die-cut black paper inner sleeve. The gatefold sleeve has a wide spine and is made from thick-gauge cardstock. The central image and latitude lines on the front feature a spot-gloss varnish detail. Includes a 22" x 11" fold-out poster. Also includes a similarly sized four-page booklet with artwork and text from an interview with John Carpenter. A 4" x 3" hype sticker is applied to the shrink-wrap. Runouts are hand-etched, except for "Welcome to 1979," which is stamped.
