Circle Jerks' Group Sex, originally released in 1980, is a landmark of the Los Angeles hardcore scene, showcasing Keith Morris's ferocious vocals and the band's blistering pace. The 40th Anniversary Edition from Trust Records (2020) is a remastered reissue of the debut that helped define punk's sound. It includes bonus tracks from a 1980 rehearsal session and a 20-page booklet with rare photos and notes from figures such as Mike Ness, Tony Hawk, Shepard Fairey, and Brett Gurewitz. This release honors a formative punk record while delivering vibrant, faithful performances that remain instantly engaging.
