Nick Drake's debut album Five Leaves Left is presented here as a 2013 Island reissue, faithfully reproducing the original and remastered from near-original master tapes. Originally released in 1969, the record showcases Drake's intimate vocals and intricate guitar work on songs such as Time Has Told Me and River Man. The edition was remastered by engineer John Wood, preserving the warm bucolic mood that defines Drake's early work. Five Leaves Left remains a touchstone of English folk, shaping the sound of countless singer-songwriters in the decades since its release.
